My Forever Family

On Thursday we got to go to the Draper Temple open house. It was such a good experience. We went with Josh's brothers family and his parents. The evening started out a little confusing...as there were 4 different church parking lots you could park at and our reservation said to park in the red lot. Thanks to the GPS I had no problems finding it. But when you have 6 different cars of people going it gets a little tricky. I was at the red lot (as was Josh, but not until after I had already left), His brother was at the green lot, his parents at the blue lot, and since the red lot was full, they told us to go to the yellow lot. Josh got to the red lot after I had left and they let his stay. So after we all made it to the same place we could enjoy our time together.

First we watched a short film on temples and the history of Draper. Then we got on a bus for a short ride up to the temple! It was Beautiful!! It was so neat to watch the girls, the loved it. So many times I saw Kaitlyn with her jaw dropped open said "ooooh and awwwww". So cute. So we walked through the temple and then at the end we all sat in a sealing room together while a couple talked to us. I felt it was a great time to quickly explain to the girls that our family would be together forever and that was because that's where mommy and daddy got married. I was a little bummed though that you never really got to see the temple from the outside. After the tour we walked over to a churchhouse, but it was all in a covered walkway. But as soon as we left out of the church to get on the bus back to the other church...there was a little opening and the temple was behind us so beautifully lit up! So in a mad rush of trying to get all the kids to pose with us and not miss the bus that was quickly filling up...we got this picture!

So any of you that haven't been to the open house (if you live in Utah) I really encourage you to go! All you have to do is go to http://lds.org/reservations and sign up for a time to go see. They will be doing them every day exept for Sunday through March 14!

Adorable

I picked Jeni up from school today, it's freezing out so the heater was going full force, which made it hard for me to hear since she was clear in the back of the van...

I hear her say "mom" and what followed was what I thought was "I'm adorable".  I giggled to myself and then asked her what she said and the few times she repeated herself I was pretty sure she kept saying "I'm adorable".  Then I giggled again and replied "Yes, you are adorable!!"  Then she said "No, Mom!..."

"I'M A DOOR HOLDER!!"  hehe
