Uncle Kenny's

On Monday we went to Mapleton to my father in laws uncles house. We had a big BBQ and had lot of fun together. He has a big yard and the kids had fun running and playing. Great food, especially the watermelon and cantaloupe I bought from a fruit stand on the way through Lehi. Mmmm. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the evening.

Flying Jonathan:
Jonathan chilling with daddy:
Julian chillin with Grandpa:
And this is my favorite!! Not only does the P stand for Perry, but Julians nickname is Pooj. Not sure where that came from, but that's what we call him...so the P is perfect. hehe

Sad Piano, Naughty Jenica

The other day Jenica took a nail and decided to write on the piano with it. I had to take pictures to document her naughtiness. I was soooo mad. And she was in a lot of trouble, believe me!

on Tuesday I bought some Old English scratch cover, it worked pretty well...it hides the scratches by staining them, so you can't see them unless you know they are there.

Mueller Park

So this makes week #3 for our picnic in the park. This week we went to Mueller Park, not sure if that is really the name of it because I believe Mueller Park is more up the canyon, but this was right next to Mueller Park Jr High, so it works for me. This is where we stopped on our way back from Ogden and our train fun and had a picnic. It's very close to my parents house. The girls are liking the variety of parks, and the boys don't know any different. I lay out my awesome goBaby out mat which I picked up on babysteals.com for...a steal...lol...It is the coolest thing ever, it rolls up so easily and I just love it! Anyways, I'm getting off topic here. The boys are happy anywhere we go. See what I mean?
I had to include a picture of all my kids to show where we were. You can kinda see the playground in the background.
And here's me giving sad Julian a kissy.

Trains

On June 16th we went to Ogden with my mom and sister in laws and their kids. We were supposed to go to a big train thing for the Christmas Carol movie coming out later this year. This train is traveling around the whole country and will be in NY for the big premier in November. This is what was in the email we got. Fun for the whole family, right?
So we got there around 11am, made it to the end of the ridiculously long line where we were told it was a 2 1/2 hour wait just to make it to the train! Then the worked guy tells us it takes an hour to get through the whole train, and then he looks down at the stroller with the boys in it and says "and this might be a deal breaker, but no strollers are allowed on the train, so you will have to carry your kids". Bah. I think we waited in line, the hot hot line with no shade, for about 30 minutes. Then we decided it probably wasn't worth the wait and instead we went to the train museum, car museum, and gun museum (only because they were all included in the price and they were right there).

The museum was ok...the kids seemed to like it. They really enjoyed watched all the model trains chug around.
Here's Nana and all the kids posed on a caboose.
And here we are in the train station, the line of people in the background are waiting for the disney train. I think they still had over an hour wait at that point. So glad we had given up on that.
Kaitlyn did NOT want to climb up on this train. It freaked her out, I think the look on her face explains that.
On the way back to the car I talked to a couple different people. We made the right decision. They said it was boring for their kids, it was too long, more for adults, and the some said the movie preview (the 3d sneak peek) scared their kids.

So off we went back to Bountiful for a picnic at the park!

Silly Sleepers

Just another night checking on the kids on my way to bed, only this time it was a little funny. I found Jeni sleeping with her bum sticking in the air. Didn't look too comfortable. I tried to roll her over and tuck her in and she woke up and freaked out. It was odd, she was totally still sleeping. No talking, just a lot of squealing.

And then Kaitlyn, she likes to sleep with lots of pillows (and lots of stuffed friends, their on the opposite side of the bed though). Not sure how she got herself all wrapped up like this, but it was cute. She got out of bed later that night and was totally sleep walking. It's really creepy, but she has done it several times and now I can figure out more quickly when she's doing it.

Where is the love?

Apparently we have 2 little daddies boys here...that or dada just happens to be the first sound to repeatedly come out of their mouths. Jonathan started 14th, we were in bed that sunday morning and he said "da da" Josh said "no way" and then he said it again. Again and again and again. :) This video was taken on Tuesday the 16th, and then on the 17th Julian joined in and now we hear dada all the time. Mixed in with an occasional mama...we are working on that!

[lots] of new posts!

So I got myself caught up tonight and put up EIGHT new posts. Please make sure you scroll down and check them out! We've been busy and having fun! :) Lots of pictures and videos!

This Is The Place {heritage park}

Today was week 2 of our Park a week adventure. Although this wasn't my original destination...actually I didn't pick on this week because all it has done is rain rain rain!! My mom called yesterday and told me that This is the Place park was FREE today for Huntsman Day. So I met my mom and sis in law up there at 10am. I decided to count it as my park for the week since we packed a picnic and ate up there. It was lots of fun! The first thing we did was ride the ponies, which of course, the girls loved!

Then we checked out the funnest little petting zoo-ish area. There were goats, lambs, and ducks running around for the kids to pet. Jenica took off chasing after a duck pretty quickly, next thing you know, she was holding it right in front of me, so I took a little video because she was so happy. Then a lady came up to me and totally went off on me "they asked us not to pick up the animals, you can only pet them!" So I quickly apologized to her...and told Jeni to put it down. So she did and then this lady continued to go on and on and on. It kinda upset me...but what do you do. I said I was sorry...the duck was running around again, actually now a little girl was trying to pull its feathers out...but at least it wasn't my child that was doing anything to it. Whew.

This little lamby friend was totally checking out the boys...it was so cute because the boys were totally smiling...sad I didn't get a picture from the front, but this one it cute!

We rode the train up the hill and got off to ride the little train. I had no idea how little it actually was. I'm surprised I fit on the thing! Here are the kids waiting in line for the train.
And here is Jenica and Parker riding on the Caboose...
And me and my Kiki riding together.
The boys were there too...they spend most of their time enjoying the sights from their stroller. They were happy. Naptime was totally a joke today...oh yah...there was no nap time! They were awake the whole drive there (I must say they usually nap from 9:30-11:30 and then 2:00-4:00). They finally feel asleep as we were walking to the car and slept for a whole 20 minutes as we drove to Josh's work to say Hi. Then they were awake the rest of the day until 6...and oh boy...they were not very happy...so we skipped bath time and they went to bed at 6:30. Aren't their hoodies so cute? I got them not too long ago at the Childrens Place outlet...yup...i paid $1.59 a piece! They were pretty big on them, seeing as I bought them for this fall...but hey, they kept them nice and warm today!
Back to our day...:) We got free ice cream! When the guy asked how many people were in the car so he could give me tickets for icecream I told him 6...but there were babies...so he gave me 5....he said the baby could have one too...then I said oh there are 2 babies and he started giving me another ticket and I told him he didn't need to, they were too little for icecream. So I ended up with 2 cones!
Our fun ended at about 1:30...the clouds were rolling in quick and they were dark...and there was tons of lightning...so we headed for the car and headed on our way!

Like I mentioned above, we stopped and saw Josh on the way home. The drive from there took forever because I missed the i15 lane from 201 and ended up on i80. Ugh, such a pain. And then there was a sign that said the freeway was flooded from 1100th south to 12300rd south, use caution and then BOOM. Traffic was moving like 5mph. So it took me 45 minutes to get from 90th-123rd. The only section that was covered was probably 110th-114th. So that was good, but it was freaky...couldn't see the lanes...just water...everywhere! The girls loved it though! And it was a great free day! :)

Princess Festival

On Tuesday my mom came down and took the princesses Jenica, Kaitlyn, and Paige to a Princess Festival! You can read about it HERE! They had a fabulous time!

I cracked up when I saw this picture of Jenica...I just love her little serious face...like I am the Queen...and I am so serious!!
What a goof ball...then she started posing all crazy! Can't help but giggle!
hahaha!

3 little princesses posing on the rocks!

This cracks me up also...
going for a ride on the (goofy) wooden ponies!
Kaitlyn was so excited she got to have a picture with Cinderella. She was a little bummed after disneyland last spring because Jeni and Paige got pictures with "their" princess (meaning the princess they were dressed up as) and we just never saw Cinderella! And she got Prince Charming in there too...lucky little lady!
And Jenica got to pose with Belle and her prince. Does he even have a name? Seems like he was knows as "beast" throughout the movie...but did he finally have a real name when he became human again?
The girls couldn't believe that the prince really kissed sleeping beauty in front of ALL the kids to wake her up. lol
Snow White was there too!
Here they are at the Ball!
Showing off their curtsy.

The festival is sold out for this year...but you must check it out next year. Hoping Nana will take the girls again...they had so much fun!!

Princess Hair!

I have never really attempted such fancy hair...but with 50 bobby pins and a ton of hairspray, anything is possible! :) Didn't I do a great job?
