Party Time!

Last night we had a big party for Jenica! It was tons of work, but tons of fun!! She loves the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs so much that she wanted to do a lateover and have her friends come in the jammies and watch the movie! My favorite part was the cake I made! It couldn't have turned out any more perfect!
And no birthday at our house is complete without a custom made-by-mom banner that matches their theme of choice! :) And balloons too...I am in love with polka dot balloons!
We went a little crazy with inviting kids and ended up with a group of about 18! It was nuts! We started off with eating dinner...spaghetti and meaballs and homemade french bread!
Followed by mini orange jello castles!
Then it was time to relax and watch the movie!! (with the exception of opening gifts and eating cake!)

EIGHT!

Yesterday Jenica turned 8!! She has been asking for quite awhile if she can get her ears pierced. So what better time than on her 8th birthday!? I picked her up after school and we headed to the mall where we met my mom! Here she is before...sitting and waiting...she looks a little nervous!
Here is the first picture after...poor girl! Does that not break your heart??
But then just a few minutes later she was excited again and calling people to tell them she had gotten her ears pierced!
I even got a video of it!!

Then my mom took both the girls to see the princess and the frog! After the movie we all met up (including Josh and his mom) for dinner at Wingers! Here's me and the birthday girl!
Then it was time for cake and icecream back at our house! I decided to make an "8" cake...definitely not my most exciting cake, but she liked it! Besides, how cool can you make german chocolate look?? At first she thought it was a peanut. :)
Happy Birthday Jeni Bug! :) We love you!

Double the...

...fun? Trouble? Love? They all apply! I love my boys so much! I can't believe how big they are getting! In 1 week they will be 17 months already! I don't want them to grow up so fast! It makes me sad!! But they are definitely a BLAST! We are FINALLY walking...they started at 15 and 16 months. My girls both walked before they were 1...and I was a little worried the boys were taking so long, but now I wish they would go back to crawling, because they get into EVERYTHING! And they are climbing onto everything. They have figured out how to climb up onto the back of the couch, they pull my computer chair out and climb up onto my computer desk...and the latest...this!!
I had these little cubby shelves in the kitchen for Kaitlyn's birthday party, they boys have been pushing it around the kitchen lately and trying to climb through the holes! It's hilarious!!
At one point they both got completely in one, on their bum, and tried to sit up, only to discover they were completely squished and pushed themselves back out!!

They are definitely keeping me busy!!

SIX!

Last Wednesday, February 17th, my baby girl turned 6! It's amazing how quickly she went from this sweet little thing...
To this beautiful girl!
We had a great big party this year! A puppy party!! We copied my sister in law who did the same thing last month for her daughters birthday. It went great!! We all know that I love to make cake!! So here are the cakes I made for her special day!
We held a puppy adoption. For the last month+ we have been to DI several times purchasing puppies!! I designed an adoption certificate, my mom made collars out of ribbon with a bell attached, and tied a little bow onto a tiny elastic to put on the puppy. Kaitlyn picked which friend got which dog, and then we split into 3 groups. We had an adoption station, where we filled out the adoption certificate and they got their collar. Next they got a check up, where my friend Tamara was the vet and gave the dogs their shots and weighed and measured them. Then they got to be groomed, done by my mom, where she bathed the dogs in a cute little tub, put bows on their ears or tail, and taught the girls puppy massage. lol Here are all the puppies, back in their kennels while their new owners ate cake.
It was a HUGE success! The girls loooooved it! I even received an email from one of the moms saying what a fun party it was and that her daughter insisted on the dog eating dinner with the family, setting it's own place at the table. Kaitlyn got a new webkinz from us for her party, she named him Shaggy! She loves him!
And here is the huge group of kids that came! I thought it was going to be nuts, but with my great helpers it was not so bad. I didn't think so many would be able to come, that is why we handed out so many invitations, hoping to have a decent turn out! It was great! Kaitlyn was totally spoiled and we had a blast!!
We waited until later that night (like 8:30pm) to sing happy birthday to her, because we were waiting for Josh to get home from a business trip that was extended a day, making him gone for a week!!
Happy Birthday Kiki! Love you so much!!
