It's A...

Well, It's definitely been a CrAzY day today, and I feel like that is an understatement.  Before I share our news, I thought a belly shot would be appropriate.  :)  Didn't Kaitlyn do a great job?  She's my little photographer.  So here I am...19 Weeks, 1 Day!  Looking quite large!
So imagine...you go in for your ultrasound...and as soon as the tech puts the wand on your belly you see this:Well that's not the exact shot I saw, but pretty similar.  I saw it out of the corner of my eye, and I blurt out, "Did I just see 2 heads??"  And the tech replies, "Yah, weren't you expecting that?"  I burst into tears (happy tears of course!)  Josh was sitting there saying "Are you serious?" over and over.  It was great!!  So there you have it...we are having TWINS!  Can you believe it?  I am still having a hard time believing it...because at 8.5 weeks I had a ultrasound and saw ONE baby.

When I measured 22cm last week when I was 18 weeks I started wondering is there any way there could be 2 babies in there??  I thought no way.  I googled missed twin at 8 week ultrasound and didn't have much hope, most people said it was very apparent at that point.  Then yesterday it kept coming to mind.  Was I hoping I was having twins?  Or did I really think I was having twins?  I just brushed it off and prayed that we would see 1 healthy perfect baby today.  This morning I almost told Josh I think it's twins.  Weird, I know...but I just had this feeling...

So back to the pictures, sorry they are not that great, I can't get onto Josh's profile to use the scanner and he didn't think it would work with leopard, so I didn't bother even trying...I just took pictures of them.  Here is another shot of  the tops of their heads.
This one shows that baby A is a BOY!!!
And this one shows that baby B is a BOY too!!  Can you believe it?  We are having TWIN BOYS!!  Here is baby A's profile...And here is baby B's profile...with baby A's head resting on his tummy...so sweet!!
Alright my friends, there you have it!  The girls are soooo excited!!  And so are we!  A little overwhelmed...ok...A LOT!  But life is good!  I feel so blessed to have 2 perfect little healthy baby boys growing inside of me!!

Gypped

A couple weeks ago I noticed that Jenica had a permanent tooth coming in.  But that was a problem, because she hadn't lost any of her baby teeth yet.  Her 2 bottom middle teeth were loose, and we had been wobbling them like crazy, but no luck.  Her tooth was coming in behind her baby teeth, like in the picture, but the left one had just started to push through the gums.  This is what happens if you don't get rid of the baby teeth.  It's called Shark Teeth!
So we worked on getting those teeth wobbled out for a week and a half.   But the problem is that when a tooth comes in, it dissolves the root of the tooth it is replacing.  Since the tooth was behind, this didn't happen, her roots were still deep.  So I decided it was time to take her to the dentist because she needed to come out so the permanent teeth could move forward and not place themselves in the gums.  Here is Jenica for the last time with her cute perfect little baby teeth.
And here she is after. Can you believe that 2 teeth fit in that one little spot?
She did not want to get them pulled...I didn't want her to either, I felt like she was being gypped, losing her first teeth, but having to experience it like that...have a dentist yank them from her mouth.  He numbed her, and then she wouldn't open her mouth.  I had to hold her down, arms and legs and we pried her mouth open just enough for him to grab onto the tooth and pull it out.  They came out very easily.  We told her she was done and she sat up and looked surprised.  In the car on the way home she said "I'm a big girl, mom".  She did well considering.  I just feel guilty for robbing her of losing her first tooth.  I think she's over it, she ran and showed all the neighbors and her friends when we got home.  She was even more excited to show everyone at school today!  I think she was the only 1 in her class that hadn't lost a tooth in Kindergarten, she'd come home daily and tell me who was losing teeth!

She's growing up...*sigh*

Hmmm...

Does this baby make me look fat??

Today has been great.  I woke up at 6:30am, haven't done that in a looong time.  That's more of the 'not so great' part...I am exhausted!  I had an appt with new dr at 8:45 up in Murray and I
didn't know how the traffic would be and such, so I needed to be all ready to go straight from dropping Jeni off at school at 8!  I made really good time actually...I got there at 8:30 and had the fun of filling out a bunch of paper work!  Always a blast...
Anyways, the office was right in the new hospital, it was so nice!  I was a little nervous driving up there, but as soon as I got in there I felt so good and calm and relaxed.  I never felt that way at the other dr.  Besides, I am less freaked out now because yesterday I went and picked up my medical records from the old dr and I read them and my friend who is a nurse helped me understand some of the stuff.  Basically I am really annoyed and them freaking me out about toxemia and all when my charts show it wasn't "that bad".  I mean, I'd rather they did more than not enough, but I have been terrified of having a baby and become very anxious about it
and I just feel like they really made a huge deal out of it.  Oh well, it was 4 1/2 years ago!  I'm glad I can sit back and enjoy this pregnancy now, without constantly thinking I am going to die.  One giant leap in the right direction!!
I met Dr L's nurse and she was very nice.  My blood pressure was great (probably cause I wasn't so nervous, lol).  I did the whole routine and waited to see the dr.  We talked for a minute and I really liked him, and then we got the heartbeat, which was difficult to keep because lil' bean was flipping all over the place.  Then he measured me and I was shocked...I was measuring at 22 weeks when I am just 18.  He said they'll measure baby next week in my ultrasound and change my due date if needed, but he said it's probably just that this is baby #3 and/or the way I am
carrying!  My uterus is already above my belly button.  Yup, I could tell!  And I am starting to feel more movement, which is always fun!!  :)
Scheduled the big ultrasound for NEXT FRIDAY!  So in 1 more week we will know if it's a he or a she!  I can't wait!  Oh, and about the belly pic above, I asked Jeni to take one, and that's what I got!  A major close up!!  I thought it was cute though!
In other news...well...there isn't really any other news!  We are getting a new/used couch
though!  Hopefully tonight!  We just bought these off of Josh's aunt who just bought all new furniture!

So there's a couch, armchair, and ottoman!  I am sooo excited!  I am soooo sick of our blue couch!  And these are sooooo comfy, the leather is super loft and in great condition!  :)

Alright, I really need to get some stuff done, but I think I need a quick catnap first!  :/

Clothes

Ok, you may enjoy my total dorkiness and look at some things that I bought myself!!  :)

Yesterday I was thinking, I really need a maternity swimsuit.  I never got one before because I was always big pregnant during the winter.  I figure this time it's going to be all.summer.long.  So, I needed to invest in a cute suit because I'm not going to be able to squeeze into my regular one for too much longer.  So I found this cute one on Old Navy's website.  I wasn't sure if I wanted the stripes or the solid brown, so I ordered both with the intention of keeping the one I liked better.  I figured why not when I am paying shipping anyways, and they don't have any of these in the store.  I was thinking ahead!  *wink*

And for any of you pregnant mama's out there, these shirts are the BEST!  I just bought this style, in these colors (yup, leave it to me to love a shirt and buy it in every color, lol).  They are on sale for $9 in the store if you buy 2 or more...I really like this particular style because it's a little more form fitted and I think it looks really cute on my growing belly!

And my good friend bought me the blue and white shirts in this style, which I also really like, so I picked up the cute pink one.  Also $9, you can even mix between the 2 styles!  I'm all about a deal...I spent $36 on the 4 shirts...It would've been $50 had they not been on sale.
Ok, thanks for checking out my recent shopping trip!  lol  I don't know what else to write about tonight...I really need to finish posting from my california trip, but I am too lazy tonight.  I feel like scrapping, but I don't even know where to begin!  I suppose I could find some cute pics and just go to town.

I've been really paranoid lately because I started feeling lil' bean kicking a bit...and then several days passed and nothing...it really worried me.  I know I'm at the point where that's ok, but I need that reassurance that everything is ok.  Thankfully tonight i'm feeling it quite a bit.  So that's good!  I go to the new dr first thing on friday morning...I can't wait to hear the heart beat again, even though I did just hear it last friday!  I think that's something you can never hear too much of!

Anyways, now I'm just rambling, so I'm gonna go!  Ciao!

New Dr!

A friend of mine told me that she looooved the dr that delivered her first 3 out of 4 babies.  I called her to get her name because I really need to find someone new.  After we talked about her dr for a minute, she called me back and told me another name, someone that was a neighbor of hers growing up, who she said was really good.  I was going to call the one she went to, but the other guy is closer and is actually right in the hospital that I want to go to.  So I called first thing this morning and they got me right in, I have an appt this FRIDAY!  Holy Cow!  And then she said they might be able to do my ultrasound NEXT WEEK!!  Wow, I could know what this little bean is next week!!!  That's just crazy...I don't feel that far along, but I am starting to feel him/her move, and I am looking pretty large in the tummy these days!  I love it...I bought some new shirts yesterday at Old Navy!  Maybe later I will take a belly pic and post it!  Happy Tuesday!

California Part II

Alright folks, here we go again!  :)  I don't know how many parts this is going to take, I got most of the way through our first day at Disneyland, up until the Princesses...I decided they needed their own part...because there were just too many cute pictures!  Anyways, the girls started off their day by bugging my parents, as you can see!
We used our early entry into the park this day (because it wasn't good any of the other days we would be there).  We were lined up pretty early, so were about a million other people!  Here are the kids waiting anxiously to get into the park.
We had our plan of attack...Finding Nemo.  We decided this is the ride with the longest line and no fast pass...so we rushed over there and enjoyed being pretty far up in line, it got packed, and fast.  We probably waited 20-30 minutes, better than the people clear at the end with waaaay more than an hour to wait.
I had to take a picture of my mom with each of the girls waiting in line, because I have a picture of me and my grandma in line for the submarines when I was 4.  They look cute and happy...in my picture, I was freaking out because I was scared of the ride...I'll have to post that one later.
Jenica tried to be brave.  The ride really scared her.  It was a cute ride, nothing I'd care about going on again...just glad we didn't wait too long to ride it.
The funniest thing was the second we got off Nemo, she let us know how much she disliked it...and then said "Let's go on SPACE MOUNTAIN".  We were a bit shocked, but she suggested it, so we went.  Josh, myself, and Jeni.  The line was like 5 minutes long.  The lines for everything were great all day!  Anyways, Josh and Jeni sat in the front row, I was behind them.  When we were done on the ride, she turned around and there were tears streaming down her face.  Poor thing.  While we were walking down from the ride she said "Mom, did that ride make you feel like you needed to vomit?"  lol

Next we went on Buzz Lightyear, probably one of the favorite rides of the whole trip.  My dad was such a cheater though...he kept flipping the car around and my score always sucked.
Josh on the other hand, had a high score of over 200,000 points, I will have to ask him what his actual total was.  He was pretty into it, as you can see.
We walked by Star Tours, no line, so we headed in.  The girls were less than thrilled, we couldn't even get Jenica to be in the picture with us.  You can see Kaitlyn wasn't too happy about it.  They both rode it, and both said they didn't like it.  Which is funny because on the third day Kaitlyn begged to go on it again, so  Josh took her, and she loved it.  I said she liked it once and didn't like it once.  She said no Mommy, I liked it 2 times.    Sure had me fooled!
Josh has a history of forgetting his sunglasses places.  And miraculously he always gets them back.  Leaving them on a ride and Disneyland is not a good idea.  He stuck them under the seat on Star Tours and didn't realize it until we got out to the gift shop.  He ran back up there and got there just as the doors closed, so he had to wait for the next group to finish.  He did end up finding them.  We tried on hats while we waited for him.
Here is Kaitlyn and my mom on Pirates.  They were kinda scared, go figure, but they ended up liking it.
We also took them on Splash Mountain.  They loved the ride, but HATED being soaked after.  I was drenched, to say the least.

Here's Josh and Jeni on the Winnie the Pooh ride.  Nothing too thrilling, we rode it once...my poor dad rode it like 5 times in a row with my nephew.
And we all rode the Carousel.  The girls loved it, they probably couldn't tell you how many times they rode it (and the carousel in California Adventure).
My parents took the girls for a bit so Josh and I could go on Indiana Jones and the Haunted Mansion.  They loved riding the Tea Cups with Nana!!  Over and over and over...another ride I'm sure they couldn't tell you how many times they rode it.
And  they LOVED Dumbo.  Although at first Jenica was scared to make it go up, so Josh got to ride nice and low...on the ground.  lol
We ran into our first Character on the side of the castle.  The Fairy Godmother.  We got a picture and autographs.
We spent a little time in Toon Town, this picture of Jenica cracks me up...her face is great.  She was really trying to lift it, it was funny.
Kaitlyn had to try too.  Then we toured Minnie's house, hoping to see her, but nope.  The girls thought her house was soo cute though.
We ended up at Mickey Mouse's house and waited in a line to meet him, it was worth the wait, Kaitlyn was soooo excited!  She just loves Mickey.  It cracked me up that she just hugged his leg like that!  What a cutie!  She was pretty excited.
And when we were having our Family picture taken, Josh got yelled at by the photographer for giving Mickey bunny ears.  It was funny.  Too bad my parents didn't get that with either of the cameras.
And so concludes Part 2, hope you all enjoyed it!  I feel sick, I had a corn dog for lunch, I guess that wasn't a good idea!  I have to leave in a few minutes to go pick up our new (used) dresser I got on the classifieds.  Stay tuned for Part 3...Princesses!  :)
