So imagine...you go in for your ultrasound...and as soon as the tech puts the wand on your belly you see this:
Well that's not the exact shot I saw, but pretty similar. I saw it out of the corner of my eye, and I blurt out, "Did I just see 2 heads??" And the tech replies, "Yah, weren't you expecting that?" I burst into tears (happy tears of course!) Josh was sitting there saying "Are you serious?" over and over. It was great!! So there you have it...we are having TWINS! Can you believe it? I am still having a hard time believing it...because at 8.5 weeks I had a ultrasound and saw ONE baby.

When I measured 22cm last week when I was 18 weeks I started wondering is there any way there could be 2 babies in there?? I thought no way. I googled missed twin at 8 week ultrasound and didn't have much hope, most people said it was very apparent at that point. Then yesterday it kept coming to mind. Was I hoping I was having twins? Or did I really think I was having twins? I just brushed it off and prayed that we would see 1 healthy perfect baby today. This morning I almost told Josh I think it's twins. Weird, I know...but I just had this feeling...
So back to the pictures, sorry they are not that great, I can't get onto Josh's profile to use the scanner and he didn't think it would work with leopard, so I didn't bother even trying...I just took pictures of them. Here is another shot of the tops of their heads.

Alright my friends, there you have it! The girls are soooo excited!! And so are we! A little overwhelmed...ok...A LOT! But life is good! I feel so blessed to have 2 perfect little healthy baby boys growing inside of me!!

Okay did Ryan call that or what? He's really good at predicting when the microwave will beep when he's out of the room or when the oven timer will go off... or when someone's having TWINS!... he's gifted that way.

YAY!!! I'm so happy for you! Careful what you wish for. You really wanted a boy and I guess you were so good, you're getting two! Oooh, maybe that means you were bad - not sure yet. :o) Either way, kids are a blessing, sometimes it just feels like a punishment (like when they're 2, almost 3 and trying to bargain with you. UGH!) Anyway, this is very exciting. Start buying in 2's! Let the shopping begin!
I can't tell you how many times I've alternated between shock and nervous laughter today over this news. I'm thrilled for you :) And Mindy says you're welcome to call her for hugs/empathy/encouragement :)
How exciting!! That is so fun. Joey wants twins so bad, but that is because he doesn't have to do all the work. How freakin' fun though. What a perfect little family you will have. Well, you already do, but think of how much more perfect it will be. Is your mom dying? I am SOO jealous right now. Keep us posted, I can't wait to see real pictures of them!
yeah! i am so excited for you! twins are so much fun! take it from me!!! i don't know what it's like having a singleton, but I can tell you... having twins is more than double the work and waaaaay more than double the blessings! and you have two built in helpers! you are so lucky there! twins rock! can they tell if they are identical or fraternal yet? mine, as you know are VERY fraternal! yeah! twins rock! let me know if you have questions!!! i'm the pro ya know! hee hee!

That's wonderful news. I'm excited for you. My husband is a fraternal twin, and it was a lot of fun for his mother. (Lots of work too.) Congratulations. Our due dates are only 2 weeks apart. :)

Yay! How cool is that?!? I am soooo excited for you! As you know my dad is an identical twin, and he and his brother had so much fun together growing up! Kari, I am so glad that you have a blog. Congratulations on twins!!! I just had my first little one in February. He was born February 8 and was 7 lbs. 15 oz. & 19 inches long. We go for a 4 month check up weds. but I have a sneaking suspicion that he is already 16-18 pounds and 25+ inches. We named him Aiden Riley. I LOVE IT!!!! I still can't get over it! And seeing those pictures brings back soooooooo many memories and feelings! It's so crazy! I don't think I believed it either until they placed both of them on my stomach to see and touch for the first time! It is quite the adventure and oh so wonderful! I love my twin boys...and I am sooo excited for yours to come too!
