happy halloweeny

This year I went all out with the costumes, and not only that...they were all handmade by me!!  I'm so proud of myself...oh yah, and I had no patterns either.  It all started earlier in the month when I was trying to come up with costume ideas because I knew I needed to get busy!  I started with the bubbas...Buzz and Woody, Peter Pan and Captain Hook...I went through several possibilities.  Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum stuck in my mind and then I came across the cutest Queen of Hearts dress on etsy, but the lady wanted well over $100 for it.  So I started planning out how I could make it myself and went to Joann's and bought all the fabric for all of the costumes for the kids...only cost me $30!  I sewed like crazy and can't believe I got them all done!

Here's the first time I had both the girls in their costumes....Alice and the Queen of Hearts...They crack me up!!

Here are the girls all ready to go to school in their costumes!

I started w/ taking pictures of Julian...so cute, right?
And then I got some of both the boys together...seriously so cute!
Then I sent Julian in so I could get a pic of Jonjon alone...
but little did I know, that I had sent in the wrong boy, and didn't realize it until I was looking through the pictures later that night!  Go figure....bad Kari.  Ooops!

We went to the school to watch the costume parade...here are the boys w/ Matt.
Friday night we went to a trick or treat party at Josh's work.  The kids got loads of Candy.  Saturday night we did a little trick or treating around the neighborhood but it was cold and wet.  The boys were soooo cute though and were sure to tell everyone thank you!
We came back home and warmed up w/ the family all over, had soup, and partied to Singstar+ for the PS3...I got it for free from houseparty.com.  It was a blast.  I think we all had a good time.

And Josh brought home some dry ice to play with.  The boys loooooved it!

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween as well!!

weekend in Park City

We had a great time in Park City this last weekend!  It was so great to get away, just the 2 of us!  We headed up on Friday early evening and left all the kiddos with my parents.  We checked into our hotel, the Caledonian, located on Main Street.  They were actually considered luxury condos, the one we were in had a loft with a huge master bedroom and bathroom with a huge shower and jetted tub, and downstairs there was a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, living room, dining area, and a nice deck with our own private hot tub over looking main street.  The first night we ate at Butcher's, which was located in the main floor of where we were staying.  We started with a Caesar salad, and we decided to split one because our waiter promised they were huge.  So we took his word and look at house huge HALF a salad was.  Good move!  Delicious salad.
Josh had a burger which ended up being enormous...
and I have some delicious chicken pasta.
On Saturday we went and had breakfast at Park City Bread & Bagel and holy cow it was heavenly!  Then we went shopping at the outlets for a bit and then went and walked around the Olympic Park for a little bit.  Neither of us have ever been up there.
We walked all the way around the bobsled track.
We went to a small deli for lunch and then hung out in our room.  Watched You've got Mail...on VHS...love that movie, but dang it's painful watching VHS...haven't had to do that in a loooong time.  That night we hopped on the trolley and rode all the way up to the top of Main street and then walked back down.  Here's Josh riding...
Josh having fun with our new lens on our nikon...
We ended up eating at The Eating Establishment, the same place we ate when we were up there on our honeymoon.  The place has kinda gone down hill, kinda sad.  They only had 1 guy waiting the tables and serving so it was kinda a bummer.

Oh, and here's the fancy hot tub I was telling you about.  Not to private...haha...about 10 hot tubs all in a row.  And a little awkward when the guy next door came out for a smoke!!
Sunday we slept in, stopped and got a late breakfast at the same bagel place because it was oh so good, and then headed back to my parents to pick up all the kids!

James & Bri and a Wedding Cake!

Today my cute little brother in law James married his love Bri, in the Salt Lake Temple.  It was so neat to be sitting in the sealing room this morning, 10 years +1 day after Josh and I were married in the same place.  Brought back lots and lots of memories!  Don't they look wonderful?

The Perry Family is becoming quite large!
We enjoyed a nice wedding lunch and then a fabulous reception, this is one of my favorite pics of the boys.  They had it at a greenhouse and there were plants and fountains everywhere.  It was hard to keep the boys out of them!

And now my cake...all my hard work paid off tremendously!  Everyone loved it and I was so so so proud of what I accomplished!  :)

10 YEARS BABY!!

(please excuse the picture of a picture...it's one of my favorites though..)
Hard to believe that it's really been TEN years already!  Marrying Josh was the best decision I ever made.  I love him sooooo very much!  We have made a beautiful family together and I am so thankful for him every day!!  Since my brother in law is getting married tomorrow and I am making their wedding cake it's not like we could take a long glamorous trip (ok, couldn't really afford to either), so we went to lunch today at Joy Luck and then this weekend we will spend it kidless in Park City.

So here we are after our delicious lunch!  :)  It was super bright and sunny out, hence the major squinting...definitely different than the cloudy, rainy, chilly day we were married 10 years ago!  :)

And of course a self taken picture of us in the car!  :)
And I wore cute shoes today...these are my fave...now to only find another pair in black!
Love you Joshy!!  10 Years down...forever to go!  Can't wait until this weekend!  :)
