After lunch we decided to drive around a bit. We ended up at this beach (the first one we could find access to). We parked and decided to see how the water felt. It was quite nice at first, but the further out we walked, the cooler it got. Josh kept going out pretty far so I went back to the beach and took a picture to show how far out he was.
So then he walked back in a little while I walked out to him. I wanted a picture of us together, so here we are...nothing like taking a picture of yourself! :)
Then I took this picture of Josh...
...and I handed him the camera so he could take a picture of me in the lake. I turned around to take a couple steps away so I wasn't so close. I heard a "plunk" sound and turned around to see the worst...the camera was in the lake and Josh was hurrying to fish it out! So sad. I wanted to cry. :( I don't blame Josh, ok...so I did. lol But it really wasn't his fault. He was holding it by the wrist strap, putting it on his wrist, so he wouldn't drop it. And that's when it happened. The screw holding that to the camera broke off or something and the camera fell to it's watery death.
So that is the last picture taken with my camera. Time to get a new one...I can't live without a camera...especially with these babies growing so quickly. Hopefully I get something soon!! We put the camera in a bag of rice and got it all dried out. It turns on and lets me view picture on the internal memory on the camera. But the lens is all screwed up, so when you try to take a picture it stays black, makes some funky noises, and then turns off.
